Report from the 2013 Conference
Held at Marino Institute of Education, Dublin
The SEED School Garden Conference was held on October 5th 2013 and was attended by a total of 125 delegates - teachers (primary, secondary and third level), gardening tutors and horticulturalists.
The feedback from the delegates was very positive; the majority stated their overall satisfaction with the day as 'excellent'. The most positive aspects of the conference were the dedication and enthusiasm of lectures, the optimism, energy and ideas they took home. They felt that they gained a huge amount of useful information, inspiration and practical ideas and that they were given renewed enthusiasm for school gardening. It was made clear that the networking, sharing of information and meeting other teachers was very important.
