Our sixth annual School Garden Conference will be held in St. Laurence's National School, Sallins, Co. Kildare, from 9.30am until 4.00pm on Saturday 23rd March. The format of the day is outlined below.

School gardens are proving to be an important part of teaching an integrated range of subjects in an enjoyable and fulfilling way.

The cost for the day is €40.00 per person, or €36.00 per person if you book 2 or more people.

10.10am - 11.00am The elements of a garden design with Patrick Hunt (SEED)
11.05am - 11.35am The journey of our school garden with Noel Lanigan (Principal of Sallins N.S.)
11.35am - 12.00pm Short break and general discussion
12.00pm - 1.00pm Tour of Sallins School Garden with Maurice Madden (SEED) and Noel Lanigan
1.00pm - 2.00pm Lunch (see options below)
2.00pm - 2.40pm Workshops
1. Growing shoots indoors in March
with Paddy Madden (SEED)
2. Biodiversity in the school garden
with Lucy Bell (Growing Wild in Nature)
2.50pm - 3.30pm Workshops repeat
3.30pm - 4.00pm Questions and answers, feedback
